Welcome to CAI's Arbaeen Orphanage Walk 2016!

On November 16th, I will join more than 20 million people from 40+ countries gathered to observe Arbaeen, to walk 80 km (50 miles) over two to three days from Najaf to Karbala in Iraq. It is the largest peaceful annual gathering, to pay homage to Hussain and his family's stance in 680 AD, to uphold social justice in the face of corruption and tyranny.

Comfort Aid International is a US-based nonprofit, with a primary focus on education and humanitarian needs, supporting projects that impact the destitute in India, Afghanistan, Iraq, East & West Africa to list a few.

Purpose

With over 460 orphans being directly or indirectly supported by CAI in 9 locations, at an average cost per child of $70/month, it's annual budget for supporting these orphans total more than $320,000.

Goal

  • • Raise $40,000 or more.
  •
  • • Maximize on an anonymous donor's commitment to match the first $20,000 in total contributions, to help raise $60,000 to educate and care for 72 orphans for a year.
  •
  • Having visited the Sakina Girls Orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan, I have seen firsthand the opportunity CAI offers these young minds.
  •
  • Join me in supporting this walk by taking advantage of the generous matching offer, and hopefully going beyond our goal to help bring change.
  •
  • Thanks!
